Jason A. Mosbaugh

Introducing Jason Mosbaugh, a Senior Attorney at MDK with a focus on the management and litigation of default servicing matters across the Ohio and Kentucky markets. With over two decades of experience, Jason's subject matter expertise encompasses a diverse range of legal areas, including real estate default, subrogation, litigation, defense, and collateral recovery. As Jason aptly puts it, "I believe every case starts with the client- and that trust and collaboration form the basis of a well-constructed argument." This philosophy underscores his approach to legal practice, emphasizing client-centered advocacy and collaborative problem-solving.

Since joining MDK in 2022, Jason has quickly become an integral part of the firm's agile legal pod structure, where daily collaboration achieves the best outcomes for clients. He maintains a busy practice, ensuring that client needs are met with diligence and expertise. Jason’s courtroom presence is unparalleled, with three to four appearances a week, each one driven by a deep understanding of his clients' needs.

Jason asserts that his greatest strengths as an attorney "are creativity in developing uncommon solutions to problems and empathy in trying to reach an understanding amongst all parties with differing views." His approach revolves around fostering collaboration and seeking consensus whenever feasible. He also finds immense fulfillment in the intellectual challenges of legal work, constructing arguments, and the ability to learn new things.

Jason is an active member of several professional associations, including the Ohio State Bar Association, Kentucky Bar Association, and Illinois State Bar Association. He is also a Certified Subrogation Recovery Professional, demonstrating his commitment to excellence in his field.

A graduate of Miami University with a Bachelor of Science in political science and pre-law, Jason completed his undergraduate studies via an accelerated three-year graduation program for which he received Distinguished Student Athlete recognition. Jason continued his impeccable academic scholarship earning his Juris Doctor from Northern Kentucky University’s Salmon P. Chase College of Law in the top 15th percentile of his program in just two years.  

Beyond his legal pursuits, Jason's interests extend to aviation, where he has earned Commercial Pilot, Instrument Rated Pilot, and Private Pilot licenses from the Federal Aviation Administration. He also dedicates his time to supporting New Richmond High School Sports, showcasing his commitment to both his profession and his community.
