Edward J. Rudd

Ed Rudd has been an integral part of MDK since 2008 and serves as the Executive Director of Information Technology at our Columbus headquarters. With a keen eye for detail and a passion for technological innovation, Ed ensures the seamless operation of MDK's tech landscape.  

Ed’s responsibilities span from overseeing network security and data center operations to managing proprietary software applications and addressing the needs of individual end users in a hybrid work environment. Ed excels in advancing tech projects with short lead times, applying his expertise in launching company-wide initiatives, from installation and configuration to user onboarding.

Ed's proficiency extends beyond technical operations; he is adept at recognizing operational needs for new technology and champions the deployment of automation technologies, such as redaction and batching tools, to support MDK's practice areas.  

As Ed aptly puts it, “I’m driven by the fulfillment that lies in assembling the right team for the right project at precisely the right moment. It poses a unique challenge, particularly in tech, where ensuring the ideal alignment of resources with specific challenges is no small feat. The key is all about alignment to purpose and skill.”

Asked about MDK's distinction from traditional law firms, Ed highlights MDK's unwavering investment in technology. Notably, he led the team that developed Casee, MDK's file workflow software, in 2009, which has stood the test of time and paved the way for the MDK Client CoLab, our cutting-edge case management application.
