Angel H. Wells

MDK's Executive Director of Operations, Angel Wells, joined the MDK family nearly 20 years ago. Angel brought with her several years of experience working for traditional law firms. Prior to her law firm experience, she earned her Ohio property and casualty insurance license, which she used working for a small insurance agency as well as a large, yet innovative, insurer. Angel’s unique experiences in law and business positioned her well for her career at MDK.  

Angel joined MDK in 2003, working directly for Ed Kochalski. Angel credits Ed for being a wonderful mentor: knowledgeable on just about every topic, compassionate, and a clear and intentional communicator. Angel has carried this style of leadership with her throughout her career at MDK.

In 2003, MDK was much smaller than it is today and every MDKer wore multiple hats, doing whatever needed to keep the firm running smoothly. One of Angel’s favorite hats to wear was improving processes and/or implementing technical solutions, which is how she discovered her true passion. In 2009, Angel officially joined the IT team; a feeling she describes as “being home.”  

Having “grown up” with the firm, Angel feels pride and admiration for having witnessed the partners create something extraordinary from sheer determination and talent. Angel strives to emulate the same sort of confidence, trust, respect, innovation and open-mindedness – along with a dose of caution – in her own leadership style. This approach has enabled Angel and her highly talented and collaborative team to make countless contributions to the firm’s success, while finding satisfaction and pride in their careers at MDK.
