Scott Dietterick advises MDK’s clients in all aspects of their mortgage default portfolio. Scott’s substantial experience allows him to craft solutions that meet or exceed our client’s business goals while maintaining strict statutory and regulatory compliance.
Scott Dietterick is the practice group director for the state of Pennsylvania. In his role as director, Scott is the subject matter expert on Pennsylvania law. He oversees the Pennsylvania attorneys and is an active voice at industry events. He received his Juris Doctor degree in 1989 from The Dickinson School of Law of The Pennsylvania State University.
Scott is admitted to practice in all Courts of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania and the Federal Courts for the Eastern, Middle and Western Districts, including the Third Circuit Court of Appeals. The Mortgage Bankers Association of America, the Pennsylvania Bar, Business Division, and Dauphin County Bar, Bankruptcy Division, are the Associations of which Scott is a member. Scott’s areas of concentration are commercial litigation and creditors' rights, including bankruptcy, foreclosure, evictions, REO, title insurance and title claim resolution.
Scott's mortgage banking practice spans every county of Pennsylvania and all Pennsylvania District Bankruptcy Courts. Clients include several national title companies and numerous national and regional mortgage companies, financial institutions and real estate investment groups. Scott has concentrated in creditors' rights for more than 25 years and has also worked as a legal consultant for troubled institutions involving the FDIC and former RTC. Scott has lectured and/or written on the subjects of foreclosure practice, deficiency judgments, title issues and municipal liens. Scott’s civic involvement includes membership in the Tocqueville Society of the United Way.
