My name is John Wilson, and I am the manager of Allodial Title’s Escrow and Closing Department. I am a graduate of the College of Wooster where I was a 4-year letter winner on the basketball team. My background in athletics has made me into the man I am today and shaped many of my core beliefs. I believe you get out what you put in, if you are early, you are on time and if you are on time, you are late- and anything worth doing in life is worth doing well.
My wife and I live a couple of miles from the Columbus office with our 2 dogs, Puck and Lily. We enjoy taking cruises to any warm place with beautiful beaches, rooting on THE Ohio State football, men’s basketball, and women’s volleyball teams, going to country music concerts, and golfing.
My experience in the title industry began as an escrow closer. I worked in pretty much every role for a couple of title companies before joining MDK/Allodial as a title preparer. While my path from another title company to Manager of the Escrow and Closing Department of Allodial Title may seem common, MDK’s and Allodial’s values are what made it an uncommon path to success.
I am in my eleventh year here - that feat alone is not very common in the title industry and shows the respect MDK/Allodial has for its employees - and I love what I do. The variety in the work that our team does keeps me engaged: we do the same thing every day in our department, but we never do it the same way twice. I enjoy the collaborative environment I work in with my coworkers and they make it a joy to come to work every day.
